Our View:The 39-year-old has been credited with starting the wave of Japanese players in the major leagues, and he threw two no-hitters. Nomo was released by the Royals back on April 25 while attempting to make a comeback after missing the last two seasons due to arm injuries.

Our View:The 1995 NL Rookie of the Year was rocked for nine runs on 10 hits over a mere 4.1 innings of action this season, with three strikeouts and four walks. Three of the hits went for homers. He held no fantasy value for this season.
