Our View:Counsell is hitless over his last two games, but registered two hits in each of his outings on August 3rd (at Atlanta) and 4th (at Cincinnati).
June 22, 2008 Craig Counsell will be returning to the bench now that second baseman Rickie Weeks has been activated from the DL, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Our View:Counsell did quite well hitting .308 during the loss of Weeks, but he has nowhere near the upside of Weeks and is best used as a spare part at this point of his career.

Our View:Councell is batitng second today ahead of Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder, which makes him worthy of a spot start if you need a depth play in the middle infield, since Counsell has produced well in limited action this season (9-for-24).
