Our View:The Globe did not mention if that meant Colon has returned to the team. He had been upset that he was being restricted to bullpen duty and effectively quit on the team to go back home to the Dominican Republic.

Our View:Colon was upset with being put in the bullpen, and he decided to leave the team. Because he is not on the restricted list, he is allowed to come back to the team, but that does not seem likely.

Our View:Colon showed well, if not inconsistent, in 2008 in his mere seven appearances. He was 4-2 with a 3.92 ERA in seven starts. Expect him to turn up somewhere else other than Boston in 2009.

Our View:He will rejoin the club tomorrow after dealing with some personal issues. His side session was to determine his pitching status, to either be used as a reliever or to throw simulated games.

Our View:Depending on the results, he will either be used out of the bullpen, or will throw simulated games, as there is no room for him in the rotation. He will hold little to no fantasy value the rest of the way in September.
