Ramon Castro exited Thursday's game against the Padres after the fourth inning due to recurring pain in his right ankle, according to Mets.com.

Our View:He was playing for the first time since initially injuring the ankle Saturday. He was replaced behind the plate by Robinson Cancel.

Ramon Castro was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI on Tuesday. In his last seven starts dating back to July 1st, he is hitting .444 with three home runs, 10 RBI, and six runs scored.

Our View:It doesn't look like he'll replace Brian Schneider anytime soon, but he will continue to get his chances against lefties.

Our View:Castro had only 51 at-bats coming into the game with one home run. The home run was the catchers only hit on the day.
