The Reds have released Terrence Long from his minor league contract, according to the Cincinnati Post. Apparently no other major league club has shown interest in Long, who was hitting just .229 in 15 Triple-A games.

The Reds signed Terrence Long to a minor-league contract on Monday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He hit .279 with six home runs and 53 RBI for the Royals last year.
