August 27, 2008 Ricardo Rincon has been pitching in the Mexican League since the end of spring training but now that the season is over, the New York Daily News reports Rincon will sign with the Mets and pitch at Triple-A New Orleans until the rosters are expanded September 1.
Our View:Rincon will have no fantasy value.
January 23, 2008 The Mets signed left-handed relief pitcher Ricardo Rincon to a minor league contract on Wednesday, and offered him an invitation to spring training. Rincon has been injured for a majority of the last two seasons, spending last year with the Giants Triple-A affiliate in Fresno before tearing an ACL in May.
May 1, 2007 The Giants activated Ricardo Rincon from the Triple-A DL and added him to Fresno's roster, according to the Mercury News. Rincon had been in extended spring training while coming back from shoulder and elbow surgeries.
