July 13, 2008 Mark Redman stay in the Rockies rotation is uncertain. The veteran left-hander was never in control of Sunday's 7-0 loss to the Mets. The big blow to Redman's start was a Carlos Beltran home run in the first inning that traveled an estimated 415 feet giving New York a 3-0 lead.
Our View:With Kip Wells and possibly Jason Hirsh expected to join the Roks rotation in the second half, Redman will be released or sent back to Triple-A.

The team is believed to be working on a trade to add a potential starter, but a failure to do so is likely to result in minor league call-up. At this time, Triple-A Colorado Springs pitcher Greg Reynolds seems likely to get the call. We will update as news becomes available.
