Ichiro Suzuki may have worn out his welcome in Seattle, according to a report in the Seattle Times. "I just can't believe the number of guys who really dislike him," said one clubhouse insider. "It got to a point early on when I thought they were going to get together and go after him."

Our View:Apparently teammates believe that Ichiro is a selfish player who is out for himself, but he certainly gets "his" year after year producing huge numbers. However, no one has ever said the man doesn't work extremely hard, and he always shows up, so this might be the old sour grapes more than anything else from a team that has gone down in flames this season.
September 25, 2008
Ichiro Suzuki will not sit out any of the team's final games this season, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

Our View:Both he and Raul Ibanez will play in each of the team's remaining games, basically in an effort to pad their stats, which is just fine with fantasy owners.
September 25, 2008
Ichiro Suzuki went 0-for-5 on Wednesday, ending his hitting streak at 16 games.

Our View:Despite the streak, Ichiro is hitting just .292 this month. He has hit over .300 every month this season except April.
September 21, 2008
Ichiro Suzuki had a single in the seventh inning on Sunday to boost his hitting streak to 14-games.

Our View:Two hundred and five hits and counting for Ichiro who still needs to cross home plate four times to record a eighth straight campaign of 200 hits, 100 runs and 30 steals (he has 43 SB). No man who has ever played the game has done that more than four seasons (Wee Willie Keeler).
September 17, 2008
Ichiro Suzuki finished the night with 200 hits - for the season. He was 3-for-3 in Seattle's 5-2 loss to the Royals. He also stole his 43rd base of the season.

Our View:That makes eight straight seasons of at least 200 hits for Ichiro for those of you who lost count. He has now tied Willie Keeler's (yes, that Willie Keeler) major league record. Among other pitchers, Ichiro absolutely owns Gil Meche who is now 10-for-15 in his career against.
