The Baltimore Sun reports that John Halama cleared waivers and refused reassignment on Thursday, so he is a free agent. Halama had a 6.14 ERA in 29 1/3 IP for the Orioles.

As expected, the Orioles designated John Halama for assignment on Friday, according to the Baltimore Sun. Halama was carrying a 6.14 ERA in 17 appearances this season. Utilityman Howie Clark was recalled to replace Halama on the roster.
