The Red Sox will change their road uniforms in 2009, sporting a look similar to the one they wore in the mid-80s, according to Yahoo Sports.

Our View:Maybe the Red Sox want to clinch their next World Championship in a different uniform, after they clinched their two previous ones on the road in St. Louis and Denver.

David Ortiz commented that his wrist is feeling better and he is about a month away from swinging a bat again, according to the Associated Press. He spent the last month resting his wrist.

Our View:The inflammation is gone and he is expected to make a full recovery heading into next season.
October 20, 2008
Designated hitter David Ortiz will not need offseason surgery on his left wrist. Doctors believe rest will allow Ortiz to get back to 100 percent. "He's 32 years old," general manager Theo Epstein tells The Providence Journal. "We see no reason he can't be one of the most dominant batters in baseball."

Our View:Big Papi was out from May 31 through July 25 due to a partially torn tendon in the wrist, and he battled soreness after his return. His 2009 fantasy value will be slightly depressed as a result, but he shouldn't slip too far. As Epstein notes, Ortiz should be able to return to his dominant ways.
October 19, 2008
David Ortiz went 0-for-3 with two struck outs and left three runners on base as Boston lost 3-1 to the Rays on Sunday in Game 7.

Our View:Ortiz hit a mere .174 in the ALCS and hit just one home run in the No. 3 spot of Boston's order.
October 16, 2008
David Ortiz only got one hit in his five at-bats on the night, but it was a huge one: a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning that made the score 7-4 Rays.

Our View:The homer was key, as it gave Boston an immediate shot in the arm, and thoughts of a comeback became realistic.
