Jose Molina hit what will almost certainly be the final home run in Yankee stadium history on Sunday night as he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.

Our View:Molina's home run, his third of the season and 19th of his career leaves him 695 home runs behind the man who hit the first home run in Yankee Stadium - Babe Ruth.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi has told reporters that he intends to split the work load at catcher from here on out, looking to give both Jose Molina and Chad Moeller time behind the plate, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Molina (.227 batting average, 11 RBIs) has made 52 starts this year, and he leads the Majors with a 48.1 caught stealing percentage. Moeller has started 18 games and caught starting pitcher Darrell Rasner against Minnesota on Tuesday. The decision to start either one will be "day by day," Girardi said, and Molina will probably catch Mike Mussina on Wednesday, like he typically does.
July 10, 2008
Jose Molina started his sixth straight game at catcher for the Yankees as Jorge Posada continues to strengthen his injured shoulder, according to MLB.com. "Posada threw today to the bases," manager Joe Girardi said. "He threw better, and it's the best his arm strength has been."

Our View:Posada has been in the lineup at DH and first base to protect his shoulder, and according to the report Posada will be back behind the dish on Friday.
April 26, 2008
Jose Molina is starting at catcher in place of Jorge Posada today, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He will bat eighth in the lineup.

Our View:Molina is 12-for-40 (.300) over 12 games and has done a solid job so far when called into action over Posada. Jorge Posada continues to build his strength back up, after suffering from a "tired arm."
April 14, 2008
Jose Molina, who pulled his left hamstring during battle with Boston on Sunday, could be headed for the DL, according to the NY Daily News. Molina was asked about his availability for tonight's game against Tampa Bay, and he stated, "We'll see. It's tight." Manager Girardi added that the ailment was pretty bad.

Our View:The team is expected to call up catcher Chad Moeller from Triple-A, if needed.
