It appears there was no serious interest by any teams in acquiring J.T. Snow and his $2 million contract from the Red Sox, and he's content to stay in Boston, according to the Boston Globe. "It's pretty much a dead deal," he said. "I'm happy staying here doing what I'm doing for the chance to win. The biggest thing is I'm willing to learn to do this."

J.T. Snow is unhappy with his playing situation, and the Red Sox have stated that they will look into trading him, according to the Boston Herald. “Both sides have been talking, everyone - J.T., Tito (manager Terry Francona), Theo (Epstein, the Sox general manager) - about J.T. not playing a lot,” agent Dan Horwits said. “They recognize that when J.T. was brought onto the club, conditions were different as far as his expected playing time than they are now. He’s not playing a lot, not even pinch hitting a lot. They’re concerned about it, he’s concerned about it.” Snow has started just four games this year.
