Our View:Speier is no longer a dominant setup man, and struggled with a 5.03 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over 68 innings of relief this season.

"The trainers think it's a small issue, but they want me to calm it down, take one step at a time. You don't want to change your delivery or mechanics and do something you're not used to doing." He was able to throw 20 pitches in a bullpen session while wearing a brace Friday, so hopefully he will be ready to get back in the mix for the Angels soon.
