September 12, 2008
Jeff Weaver making his first start since August 30th because of a couple of injured fingers, Weaver was masterful hurling six shutout innings against the Mariners to improve his record to 11-10 on the year.

Our View:Weaver lowered his ERA to 4.25 as he continues to operate as a solid depth hurler for fantasy squads. With tonight's effort he also reached a major league high for innings pitched in a season (165) as he and the Angels gear up for the playoffs.
July 14, 2008
Jeff Weaver made his debut with Triple-A Buffalo, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. He surrendered three runs on five hits with one walk over three innings in a 9-3 loss to Lousville.

Our View:Weaver isn't likely going to make an impact with the Indians this season, and doesn't garner fantasy interest.
July 5, 2008
The Indians have signed Jeff Weaver to a minor league deal and sent him to Triple-A Buffalo, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Our View:The newspaper may be fooling their readers by proposing that Weaver may actually help the Indians. Good luck with that.
June 12, 2008
Jeff Weaver was released from the Brewers organization on Thursday a day after he allowed eight runs and 11 hits in six innings at Triple-A, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Weaver will look to sign on with another organization, though he didn't do himself any favors by going 2-4 with a 6.22 ERA at Triple-A. Seth McClung figures to hold on to the fifth spot in the Brewers rotation.
June 4, 2008
Jeff Weaver allowed 10 hits for the fifth time in 13 starts this season -- but won for the third time in four starts. He allowed four runs, struck out three and walked one.

Our View:Weaver is hot and cold. He's either bad or really good, unfortunately this year he's been bad more often than good, as evident in his 6.14 ERA.
