Choo Freeman signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers Wednesday, according to the Denver Post. Freeman hit .237 in 173 at-bats for Colorado last year. He is a longshot to make the team out of spring training.

Choo Freeman was released by the Rockies Friday, according to the team's official site. Freeman didn't do a lot with the Rockies over his brief career, posting a .225 batting average with three home runs over 285 at-bats. He wasn't much on the bases, either, with just six steals on 13 attempts.
