Our View:Don't bet on Gagne being the closer (Frank Francisco is the favorite for that gig). His numbers were ugly overall in 2008, but he did pitch well over the last two months.
September 25, 2008 Brewers reliever Eric Gagne purchased 5,000 tickets to Thursday's game against the Pirates, and will be giving them away free of charge to fans, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Our View:He may think the world of Brewers fans, but they probably don't think the world of him. He signed a one-year, $10 million contract with the team, and promptly started blowing saves left and right. He has a 5.56 ERA on the year, and has allowed 11 home runs in 45.1 innings.

Our View:Gagne has been one of the biggest busts of the year as he can't even function in a setup role (6.81 ERA). You think that the Brewers might want their $10 million back? We know fantasy leaguers want their $10 back that they spent on him on draft day.
