Our View:Young's batting average is just .283, which is the first time since 2002 that he will hit less than .306 in a season. He is an across the board contributer, but 2008 has been a down year for him. His 79 RBI are 15 less than what he finished with last season.

September 17, 2008 The Detroit News reports that Michael Young left Wednesday's game against the Tigers after aggravating his injured right hand. Young has played the past few weeks with a fractured right ring finger and a cyst on his right wrist.
Our View:The five-time All-Star is 4-for-30 over his past eight games, but he had the go-ahead single in Texas' 11-8 win over Detroit on Monday night.
