July 2, 2008
Daisuke Matsuzaka only allowed one earned run on two hits over five innings in a tough 7-6 loss to the upstart Rays, with five walks and five strikeouts. Boston led 2-1 when he exited the game, but ultimately ended his night with a no decision.

Our View:Other than the five walks, he pitched great. He remains 9-1 for the season, and trimmed his ERA to 3.12, while only allowing one earned run over his last two starts.
June 27, 2008
Daisuke Matsuzaka hurled five scoreless innings, with only two hits allowed, in Friday's 6-1 win over the Astros, with three walks and four strikeouts.

Our View:Dice-K improves to 9-1 and lowered his ERA to 3.21. He was rocked for seven earned runs in his last start fresh off the DL, but he is now back in solid form, evidenced by tonight's performance.
June 21, 2008
Daisuke Matsuzaka got rocked in his return to the Sox rotation Saturday, allowing seven runs on six hits and three walks in just one inning.

Our View:Dice-K just looked horrible, leaving everything everything up and over the plate. He threw a ton of breaking stuff because his he had zero fastball command. Hopefully his rotator cuff isn't still bothering him and he'll correct his problems the next time out.
June 21, 2008
Daisuke Matsuzaka is fresh off the DL and set to return to the rotation today against the Cardinals, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:This will be his first start in nearly a month, as he has been brought down by a mild right rotator cuff strain. The fantasy ace hurler should return to your lineups today, and looks to pick up where he left off, as he holds a strong 8-0 mark with a 2.53 ERA over 11 starts.
June 16, 2008
Daisuke Matsuzaka, in his first game since straining his rotator cuff, allowed three hits and two runs against Triple-A Lehigh Valley, according to the Associated Press. Matsuzaka struck out five, walked one, and threw 47 of 65 pitches for strikes.

Our View:Matsuzaka hopes to be able to face the Cardinals this weekend, and baring any unforeseen setbacks, it appears that he should be able to do just that.
