Nate McLouth went 2-for-3 with a double and his 14th stolen base, but it wasn't enough as the Pirates were taken down by the Reds by the score of 5-1.
Our View:McLouth's magical season was slowly deteriorating, and he was hitting just .229 in August. He's been great this year for fantasy owners, but don't expect him to produce like he was earlier in the season.

The Pirates and Phillies did battle in the City of Brotherly Love this evening, but the Pirates are not likely to be feeling the warmth after a frustrating 4-2 loss. Outfielder Nate McLouth continues to work as the force of reckoning for Pitt, going 2-for-4 at the dish with his 36th double of the season, totaling one RBI and one run scored on the night.
Our View:McLouth hasn't homered since July 28th and now carries just two RBIs thus far this month. Of course, if there were players getting on base around him, it would help.

Nate McLouth has a good history against Phillies starter Brett Myers, who he will face tonight. Though McLouth has just five career at-bats against him, he does have two hits - both of them home runs.
Our View:McLouth has not hit a home run since July 28, but that could change tonight.

Nate McLouth hit his 22nd home run of the season on Monday against the Rockies. He also walked twice, scored twice and had two RBI.
Our View:McLouth continues to be one of the bigger fantasy surprises of the season and has rebounded nicely from a poor June. You may want to consider him a sell-high candidate in non-keeper leagues as its possible he could wear out down the stretch. He has never had more than 329 at-bats in a season before 2008. He currently has 412.

The Pirates are now celebrating the 10-inning 12-11 win over the Cardinals while leadoff man Nate McLouth continues to celebrate his work at the plate. Tonight he went 1-for-4 with one walk and his 19th homer of the season, recording three RBIs and two runs scored on the night.
Our View:Another day, another homer for McLouth. He now has four homers over his last six games, pulling nine RBIs along the way.
