Koyie Hill was recalled from Triple-A Iowa to join the Cubs just slightly over a year after a he severed three of his fingers with a table saw last October, according to MLB.com.

Our View:This is one of the true feel good stories of the year and something we would rather see TV than the 100th story on instant replay. Hill won't have any fantasy value, but it still warms our heart to share this tale.
August 28, 2007
Koyie Hill has cleared waivers and was assigned to Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday. Hill had been designated for assignment on Aug. 20.
August 20, 2007
The Cubs designated Koyie Hill for assignment after Monday's 6-4 loss to the Cardinals. He batted .161 with two homers and 12 RBI and started 25 games for Chicago.

Our View:Hill, who was out of options to the minors, saw his playing time reduced with the acquisition of Jason Kendall. He's likely headed back to the minors.
June 2, 2007
The Cubs recalled Koyie Hill from Triple-A Iowa prior to Friday's game. He ended up playing the final four innings after Michael Barrett fought with Victor Zambrano, though he was hitless in two at-bats. It would be surprising if the Cubs don't suspend Barrett, so expect Hill to see extra work.
November 19, 2006
Catcher Koyie Hill signed a minor league contract with the Cubs with an invitation to spring training. Barring injury, he won't make the big league roster, as backup Henry Blanco recently signed a two-year contract.
