Newsbreakers
September 23, 2008
The Brewers know that C.C. Sabathia will pitch on short rest Wednesday, but beyond that they're not sure how their rotation will play out, according to the AP. Ben Sheets is nursing a sore elbow and is out until at least the weekend, Manny Parra has been sent to the bullpen and Seth McClung and Jeff Suppan have been ineffective. "Whether people think its right or wrong, you still do whatever you can with your personnel to put best people out there that are going to win that game that day," interim manager Dale Sveum said. "That's where we’re at."

Our View:The Brewers don't really have any choice but to go with what they have. Yovani Gallardo was activated from the DL Tuesday but isn't ready to start.
September 21, 2008
Seth McClung walked four batters, but only gave up a single run in 3.1 innings as he started for the Brewers in their 8-1 win over the Reds.

Our View:McClung could not go further because he pitched just three days ago, and tossed 72 pitches.
July 12, 2008
Milwaukee RHP Seth McClung watched a good outing go to the trash this evening as the Brewers failed to produce offensive supporting, giving McClung his fifth loss of the season. McClung pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs (all earned) on just three hits with three walks and seven strikeouts.

Our View:McClung now has two losses in each of his last two starts, though he's allowed just five total earned runs and one home run through that span.
July 7, 2008
Seth McClung couldn't make it through the fifth inning on Monday night after struggling with his command. The right-hander was pulled from the game against the Colorado two outs into the fifth after giving up two runs and five walks.

Our View:McClung suffered the loss, his fourth against five wins in 20 starts.
July 2, 2008
Milwaukee RHP Seth McClung put a strong effort on the mound this evening, helping his Brewers to a hard-fought 4-3 win over Arizona. McClung pitched 5 1/3 innings to allow two runs (both earned) on eight hits with one walk and six strikeouts.

Our View:McClung walked off with no decision, his second consecutive no-decision since winning three of four in the month of June. More impressively, after a rough start, McClung has posted just nine walks versus 27 strikeouts since June 1st.
