The LA Times reports that the Angels and White Sox have discussed a trade that would send Ervin Santana and Chone Figgins to Chicago and Freddy Garcia and Joe Crede to LA. A deal is not imminent, and other players would likely be included should a deal get done.

Ervin Santana was able to throw a light bullpen session and take fielding practice on Sunday, according to the LA Times. Knocked out of his last start when he was hit on his left knee by a line drive, Santana is expected to make his scheduled start on Tuesday against the Rangers.

Ervin Santana, who was hit on the inside of his left knee with a line drive Thursday, said that he felt "a lot worse" Friday than he did Thursday, according to the LA Times. "Everything I do, it hurts a little bit," said Santana. "But I think I'm going to pitch on Tuesday." If Santana is unable to go Tuesday, either Kevin Gregg or Dustin Moseley will get the start.

Ervin Santana is confident that he will be able to make his next start after taking a liner off his left knee on Thursday, according to the L.A. Times. X-rays were negative, and Santana was diagnosed with a bruise. The Angels don't have any off days coming up, so they will need Santana - or someone else - to start on Tuesday.
