Newsbreakers
September 27, 2008
Jeff Francoeur went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and three RBI in the Braves' 11-5 win over the Astros.

Our View:It has been a tumultuous season for Francoeur, who was even sent down to Double-A to try and get his swing back. It will be interesting to see what the Braves will do with the local product in the offseason.
September 13, 2008
Jeff Francoeur went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Mets at Shea Stadium. His hit was a single.

Our View:Francoeur racked up eight RBI over 11 games in September. He has been a grave disappointment this season, but looks to close out the season favorably.
September 11, 2008
Even though the Braves won on Thursday night it was not a good night for Jeff Francoeur. A small army was left on base by Francoeur tonight, who stranded eight runners. Francoeur was 0-for-4, while striking out once.

Our View:It has been a rough year for Francoeur at the plate. His average is down to .232 and continues to slide, he is not worth being in your starting lineup.
September 5, 2008
Jeff Francoeur left Friday night's game after being hit by a pitch on his hand.

Our View:We will update the once-fantasy-relevant Francouer's status as more is known. In fairness, he has recorded 63 RBI and 59 runs this season...despite hitting .231.
September 2, 2008
A three-run home run was the contribution made by Braves outfielder Jeff Francoeur in the Braves 16-14 win over the Marlins. He was 1-for-5 and scored twice.

Our View:Francoeur has been beyond bad this season, and his on-base percentage remains embarrassingly below .300. Fantasy owners should have moved on long ago.
