Chris Duffy has signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, according to MLB.com.
Our View:Duffy is coming off of shoulder surgery and he has never been a very effective outfielder. Don't count on a sudden change in Milwaukee.

Our View:Duffy remains in the Pirates' organization, but should be ignored as a fantasy prospect for the rest of 2008.

Chris Duffy returned to Double-A Altoona's lineup on Thursday after missing a week due to an inner-ear infection, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He didn't last long though, as he was forced to leave the game with what the team described as a mild case of dehydration and he was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
Our View:Duffy missed a week with the Pirates because of dehydration two years ago. He should continue to be ignored as a fantasy outfielder.

Chris Duffy was taken off the 60-day DL and optioned to Double-A Altoona, according to TSN.com.
Our View:Duffy hasn't played since August of last year, and the team likely wants to give him time to get his swing back before thinking about calling him up to the big leagues.

Chris Duffy (shoulder surgery) was transfered from the 15-day DL to the 60-day DL on Sunday, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. This move was made so the club could place T.J. Beam on the 40-man roster.
Our View:Duffy has already been on the DL for more than 60 days, so this is just a house keeping matter. He should be activated from the DL at some point this week at which time he will be sent to Triple-A Indianapolis to work on regaining his timing.

Pittsburgh outfielder Chris Duffy will begin a rehab assignment on Sunday with the Double-A Altoona affiliate, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Our View:Duffy, the Pirates' opening day center fielder the past two years, had left shoulder surgery Aug. 31, 2007, and also was sidelined last season by an ankle injury.

Chris Duffy still has no timeline established for his return from an injured shoulder, but in order to speed up the healing process he received a cortisone shot on Tuesday, this according to MLB.com.
Our View:Duffy has been able to throw under 100 feet without incident, but when he tries to extend his tosses the pain begins. The hope is that this shot will help him to get over the hump and back out on the field by early next week, though his return to the majors is far less known.

GM Neal Huntington said, "It's taken longer than we anticipated to get Chris' shoulder back healthy. We want to make sure everything is fine structurally." Duffy has been in extended spring training in Brandenton, Fla.

Chris Duffy (shoulder) long-tossed at 90 feet on Sunday, this according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Duffy told the media outlet that he is "feeling a lot better." General manager Neal Huntington verbalized there remains a chance Duffy could be ready for minor-league action to open the season. Duffy is recovering from left shoulder surgery and currently has no fantasy value in traditional formats.

Outfielder Chris Duffy continues to take batting practice, but he is limited in the sessions according to the Post-Gazette. Duffy is having pitches flipped to him, rather than pitched, when in the cage. Duffy is expected to be ready by Opening Day.
