September 9, 2008 Pitcher Jon Adkins has been recalled by the Reds from Triple-A Louisville, according to the AP. The team also recalled pitchers Daniel Ray, Adam Pettyjohn, and Josh Roenicke. Infielder Adam Rosales has also been brought back to Cincinnati.
Our View:Adkins will hold no value while fighting for innings as a middle reliever, and none of the other listed players merits fantasy consideration either while serving as reserves.
July 27, 2007 The Mets called up Jon Adkins from Triple-A New Orleans before Friday's game, according to the AP. He was 1-3 with a 3.83 ERA in 28 games with the Zephyrs. Adkins replaces Joe Smith, who was sent to New Orleans after Thursday's game.
