Francisco Cruceta, who was designated for assignment by Detroit on June 3, has been outrighted to Triple-A Toledo, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Cruceta has skills to be an effective pitcher, but is not yet at that point, as he allowed seven earned runs, 13 hits, and 10 walks over 11.2 innings with the Tigers this season. He holds no fantasy value.

The Tigers designated Francisco Cruceta for assignment Tuesday. Casey Fossum was recalled to replace him on the roster.

Our View:Cruceta has a pretty nice arm but was walking way too many guys. The Tigers probably want him at Triple-A, but he'll have to clear waivers first.

Francisco Cruceta will be called up to the big leagues on Thursday to take the roster spot of the traded Jason Grilli, according to MLive.com.

Our View:Cruceta had visa problems at the start of the year, but he has been impressive at Triple-A with 15 K and just two hits allowed over his last seven innings. He will basically take over the role that Grilli was operating in, meaning that he isn't worth much except in AL Only leagues that count holds.

Francisco Cruceta may not need much time in the minors. The reliever made his season debut on Tuesday and worked three hitless innings. He struck out six batters and didn't allow a ball out of the infield, the Detroit News reports. Cruceta missed all of spring training due to visa issues.

Our View:It's no secret that the Tigers could use bullpen help, and Cruceta could work his way into the majors with a few more outings like this.

The Tigers have sent Francisco Cruceta to Triple-A Toledo, the Detroit Free Press reports. The reliever missed spring training due to visa issues. The Tigers will have two weeks to decide if they want to add him to the 25-man roster or subject him to waivers.

Our View:Cruceta has bombed in his very limited major league work to date, but it's believed he has good enough stuff to be a decent bullpen addition. He doesn't have any fantasy value at this point.
