Newsbreakers
November 20, 2008
The Yankees are said to have interest in second baseman Orlando Hudson, but the only problem is they have Robinson Cano. According to SI.com the Yankees might look to trade Cano or move him to first base if they would bring in Hudson.

Our View:Cano had an up-and-down year with the Yankees in 2008 and took a lot of heat from the media in New York. It might be a good for the second baseman to have a change of scenery.
November 7, 2008
Robinson Cano is believed to be on the Dodgers' radar, according to the NY Post. The Yankees are known to be interested in catcher Russell Martin and outfielder Matt Kemp.

Our View:Cano would favorably replace Jeff Kent at second base, but it was previously stated that the Dodgers are not shopping Russell Martin, and Yankees' officials added that Cano is most likely going to remain in New York.
November 4, 2008
Robinson Cano would be the centerpiece of any trade for Jake Peavy, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View:Cano is slated to make $27 million over the next three years, and with the Padres looking to shed salary, he may not be the most attractive option.
September 27, 2008
Robinson Cano went 3-for-5 with five RBI in Friday's 19-8 win over Boston. He hit two doubles and a single.

Our View:He extended his hitting streak to eight games and set a single-game high in RBI for the season when fantasy owners need him the most.
September 20, 2008
Robinson Cano hit a bases loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the New York Yankees a 1-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles. It was his first hit in four at-bats on the day.

Our View:We're not exactly sure what happened to Cano this season, but he's trying to end strong, and has a four-game hitting streak.
