David Aardsma (groin) threw 14 pitches in a rehab appearance on Tuesday night, and though he has been activated from the DL, in all likelihood will not be available to pitch tonight, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:In other Red Sox bullpen news, Jonathan Papelbon also likely won't pitch on Wednesday night either after pitching three days in a row.
September 7, 2008
Aardmsa (groin) threw live batting practice on Sunday, according to the Boston Globe. He is scheduled to pitch for the Lowell Spinners on Monday or Tuesday.

Our View:If all goes well, Aardsma should be able to return soon.
September 6, 2008
David Aardsma, who has been battling a groin ailment, intends to throw live batting practice today, according to the Providence Journal.

Our View:If that goes favorably without a setback, manager Terry Francona said the Red Sox would figure how to bring Aardsma along so he can contribute out of the bullpen.
September 2, 2008
David Aardsma spent time Monday making throws from right field to third base in an attempt to judge how his ailing groin is progressing, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:He is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Thursday. Barring a setback, he could return to Boston at some point in mid-September.
August 26, 2008
David Aardsma was scheduled for an MRI Monday, but instead was examined by Dr. Pete Asnis, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Aardsma had X-rays on his strained right groin, and they were negative. He has been cleared to resume his rehab with coordinator Scott Waugh in Boston. The middle reliever could be back at some point in mid-September.
