Toronto has acquired infielder Jose Bautista from Pittsburgh for a player to be named, according to the AP.

Our View:The 27-year-old hit .242 over 314 at-bats with the Pirates this season, with 12 homers and 44 RBI. Scott Rolen has been hindered by his shoulder injury and Bautista was added for depth.

In order to clear room on the roster for first baseman Adam LaRoche, the Pirates sent Jose Bautista to Triple-A Indianapolis, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View:Bautista was fairly productive, with 12 home runs and 44 RBI. However, Adam's brother, Andy LaRoche, will likely see the bulk of playing time at third base.

Bautista went 3-for-4 at the plate, hitting his seventh double and fourth homer of the year, totaling three RBIs and two runs scored.

Our View:That's two hot games in a row for the third bagger, going 5-for-8 with five runs scored and thee home runs over the past two days.
