Our View:Votto hit .297 over 151 games, with 24 homers and 84 RBI, and has a bright future ahead of him in Cincinnati. He should challenge .300 and 30 homers in 2009, potentially making him a solid starting first baseman for mixed-leagues.
September 28, 2008 Joey Votto finished off a strong rookie campaign with his 24th home run of the season in the Reds 11-4 loss to the Cardinals. He was 2-for-2 with two RBI, two runs scored and a walk.
Our View:Votto showed very well at the plate this season and should improve in 2009. Expect his power numbers (24 home runs and 84 RBI) to rise in his sophomre season.
