Ryan Jorgensen has been recalled by the Twins, according to the Star Tribune.

Our View:He will serve as the Twins No. 3 catcher, and won't see many at-bats, barring injuries.

Ryan Jorgensen has been suspended 50 games for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. It wasn't announced exactly what triggered the suspension. Jorgensen appeared in four games for the Reds this season, picking up three hits in 15 at-bats.

The Reds optioned Ryan Jorgensen to Triple-A Louisville on Monday. He was hitting .200 two home runs and six RBI for Cincinnati.

Our View:The Reds will likely activate David Ross off the DL on Tuesday, so Jorgenson was the likely candidate to be sent down.

The Reds plan to call up Ryan Jorgensen from Triple-A today to replace the injured David Ross on the roster. Jorgenson was hitting .229 with two home runs and 29 RBI for Triple-A Louisville, and he doesn't figure to receive much playing time.
