As expected, the White Sox optioned Agustin Montero back to Triple-A Charlotte to clear room on their roster for the return of Cliff Politte following Wednesday's game, according to the Daily Southtown. Montero posted a 5.14 ERA in 11 appearances with the Sox.

When Cliff Politte returns from the disabled list, Agustin Montero is expected to be sent down to Triple-A Charlotte, according to the AP. Montero has a 5.14 ERA in 14 IP with the White Sox this season.

The White Sox recalled Agustin Montero from Triple-A Charlotte to replace the injured Jeff Nelson in the bullpen. Montero had a 2.05 ERA in 18 relief appearances for Charlotte.

The White Sox have recalled Agustin Montero from Triple-A Charlotte, according to the Chicago Tribune. He was 1-0 with a 0.38 ERA in 12 games there and likely will stick with the Sox only until Jose Contreras returns to action next weekend.
