Both Brian Sanches and Chris Schroder were sent down to Triple-A Columbus by the Washington Nationals on Friday, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Sanches has an ERA of 7.36 and a WHIP dangerously close to 2.00. Schroder threw just five innings, and walked twice the number of batters (6) than he struck out.

The Nationals optioned Brian Sanches to Triple-A Columbus Saturday. Sanches held a 7.36 ERA in 12 games.

Our View:The Nats bullpen has been worked to death lately, so they just need to bring another fresh arm in. Sanches gave up four runs in just a 1/3 of an inning Saturday.

The Nationals called up reliever Brian Sanches on Friday, the Washington Post confirms. The 28-year-old right-hander was 0-0 with a 0.98 ERA and seven saves over 14 appearances for Triple-A Columbus.

Our View:Sanches will fill Chris Schroeder's old role of playing the piano for Lucy and Snoopy.

The Phillies sent Brian Sanches to the minors on Sunday to open up a spot on the roster for Tom Gordon, who just returned from the DL. In 11 games with the Phillies, Sanches posted a 6.39 ERA.

Brian Sanches was recalled from Triple-A Ottawa Sunday to replace the injured Francisco Rosario on the roster. Sanches had a 5.40 ERA for Ottawa but a terrific 39/4 K/BB rate over 30 innings.
