Jon Huber will start for Triple-A Tacoma today in his first of three rehab outings. He is scheduled to throw 25 pitches, according to the Seattle Times. Huber was originally sent to the DL because of a forearm problem but had to be shut down last month after experiencing pain in his elbow.

Jon Huber had a setback last Sunday while making his second rehab appearance in the minors, the Seattle Times reports. Huber was into his second inning of a relief outing when his elbow began to get sore. He had an X-ray taken earlier this week and is to undergo an MRI Friday.

Jon Huber was placed on the 15-day DL, retroactive to Thursday, with a right forearm strain, the AP reports. Jeff Weaver took his spot on the active roster.

Jon Huber left Wednesday's game in in the eighth inning with tightness in his right forearm. Huber had a similar injury in 2003, tried to pitch through it, and wound up missing the rest of the season, according to the Seattle Times. "It felt the same, so I didn't want to keep pushing it," he said. "It's better to shut it down for a few days than a few months."

Jon Huber was recalled by the Mariners Saturday, taking Sean White's spot on the roster. Huber, who was with the Mariners a week ago, will work in middle relief.
