Our View:Slaten is expected to be back when rosters expand in September, if not sooner.
August 13, 2008
Left-handed reliever Doug Slaten was activated from the 15-day disabled list, and Billy Buckner was sent down to make room on the roster, according to The Sports Network.

Our View:Slaten is a situational lefty who has no value as it pertains to fantasy baseball.
August 11, 2008
Doug Slaten is expected to be activated from the DL Tuesday following his bout with a strained right knee, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:The D-Backs' will be pleased to get the lefty back in their bullpen. He is not a favorable fantasy reliever however, as he holds a 4.55 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over 27.2 innings, with only 15 strikeouts.
August 8, 2008
Doug Slaten, who is recovering from a strained right knee, is scheduled to make one more rehab appearance at Triple-A Tucson on Saturday after giving up one run on three hits (including a homer) in 2/3 of an inning in relief Wednesday, according to the East Valley Tribune. He said, "I know why I didn’t get good results, the first time out it was control. The second time, I made a few bad pitches."

Our View:He has been on the DL since July 18. He could return to the Diamondbacks' bullpen at some point next week, barring a setback.
July 27, 2008
