Pitcher Eric Stults could be a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers' starting rotation in 2008, according to Dodgers.com.

Our View:Stults was a fairly effective hurler in his seven starts for L.A. this season, posting a 2-3 record, but with a 3.49 ERA and 1.32 WHIP. He also had a complete game shutout and struck out thirty in 38.2 innings. He could be someone for fantasy owners to consider in the late rounds of deep mixed league drafts.

The Dodgers optioned lefty Eric Stults to Triple-A Las Vegas to make room for the recently-acquired (again) Greg Maddux, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

Our View:Stults had been recalled on Thursday and hadn't made a single appearance in between.

According to the Sports Ticker, Eric Stults was sent to Triple-A after allowing six hits, three walks, and three runs in 3.2 innings on Monday night.

Our View:Aside from Monday's start, Stults was very good over six starts with the Dodgers. His ERA for the year is just 3.18.
June 30, 2008
Eric Stults set down eight in a row before walking Berkman with one out in the fourth and eventually giving up a three run inning. The Dodgers lefty allowed four runs in total on five hits, walked three and struck out three in the 4-1 loss to Houston.

Our View:Stults lost his first game of the season raising his .060 ERA to 2.21 in the process.
June 27, 2008
Eric Stults, who pitched a complete-game shutout Wednesday night, will fill the final slot in what skipper Joe Torre is calling a six-man rotation, this according to the Los Angeles Times. The report notes that the Dodgers will use the rotation up to the All-Star break so that the left-hander could continue to start. "It's pretty tough not to follow up on what we saw," Torre said.

Our View:Stults, who was called up from triple-A Las Vegas to replace injured Brad Penny, is 2-0 with an 0.60 ERA in two starts.
