September 4, 2007 The Cardinals recalled Brian Barden from Triple-A Memphis Tuesday. Barden had one hit in 12 at-bats earlier this year with Arizona. He's hit .263 with four homers and 37 RBI in 354 at-bats at Triple-A this year.
August 14, 2007 The Cardinals claimed Brian Barden off waivers from the Diamondbacks on Monday. He hit .269 with two home runs and 25 RBI in 83 games with Triple-A Tucson, which was a big drop from his 16-homer, 96-RBI season last year for the Sidewinders. Barden could be a role player for the Cards at some point.
