Alex Romero has been optioned to Triple-A Tucson, according to the East Valley Tribune. Max Scherzer was recalled from Tucson as the corresponding move.

Our View:Romero held little fantasy value with a .244 average (one homer and 12 RBI) over 127 at-bats this season.
July 4, 2008
Outfielder Alex Romero has been called up from Triple-A Tucson, according to the AP. Outfielder Jeff Salazar has been designated for assignment, as an adjoining move.

Our View:Romero isn't likely to make a solid impact, as he only hit .229 over 35 at-bats in his previous stint with the club this season.
June 23, 2008
The D'Backs optioned Alex Romero to Triple-A Tucson Monday. He has hit just .229 in 35 at-bats with Arizona this year.

Our View:Romero wasn't getting much playing time despite Byrnes being out.
May 27, 2008
The D'Backs recalled Alex Romero from Triple-A Tucson Tuesday to replace the injured Eric Byrnes on the roster. Romero made the team out of spring training and had three hits in 10 at-bats before getting sent down.

Our View:Romero should get plenty of playing time in left while Byrnes is out, but he'll have to share time with Jeff Salazar and Chris Burke.
April 23, 2008
Alex Romero will be optioned to Triple-A, according to the East Valley Tribune. He will be sent down to make room for catcher Miguel Montero, who is being activated from the DL.

Our View:The outfielder is 3-for-10 with three RBI this season, but will have to wait to prove his worth with the Diamondbacks.
