February 19, 2008 Zach McClellan tested his sore left knee out Monday and is expected to return to Denver on Friday for surgery on a torn meniscus. It would sideline him for about three weeks. "It will be a quick rehab. It's more mental than physical," McClellan said in the Denver Post. We'll track McClellan's rehab, but he doesn't figure to be an integral part of the Rockies pitching staff this year.
April 16, 2007 The Rockies purchased the contract of Zach McClellan from Triple-A Colorado Monday to replace the injured B.K. Kim on the roster, according to Sports Network. McClellan tossed four scoreless innings for Colorado Springs before his callup. He will work out of the Rox bullpen.
