Our View:The team brought in Buckner in case Doug Davis was unable to pitch deep into Sunday's game. Davis was dealing with a back/ribcage injury. Buckner will hold no fantasy value as a long reliever during his stint with the team.

Our View:The D'Backs bullpen was overused in the three-game series at Shea so the staff brought Buckner up from southern Arizona to add a fresh arm to the pen. He was needed and fortunate enough to pitch himself into his first win of the season.
