Our View:In 65 games last year Guardado had formidable WHIP of 1.22. However, it's unlikely he'll receive any save opportunities wherever he ends up, which means his fantasy value is minimal.

Our View:Guardado earned a save on Tuesday night, which was his third of the season. He holds a 3.02 ERA over 44.2 innings, but maintains a solid 0.96 WHIP and has not surrendered a run in eight straight appearances. He only has 26 strikeouts, but is worth employing as a closer if your roto-club is desperate for saves right now.

Our View:The reports leading up to this game had been a little conflicting, but it's fairly clear now that Guardado has the closer's job, at least in the short term.
