October 24, 2008 Julio DePaula was one of four Twins players who were dropped off their 40-man roster on Friday, according to the Twins Official Website. The others were Oswaldo Sosa, Ryan Jorgensen and Sergio Santos.
Our View:Jorgensen was the only player in the group who appeared in a game in 2008. The Twins were merely doing some housekeeping here which also included reinstating Pat Neshek (elbow) from the 60-day DL.
August 22, 2007 The Twins recalled Julio DePaula from Triple-A Rochester Tuesday. DePaula gave up seven earned runs over two innings during a stint with the Twins earlier this season but holds a 2.90 ERA with 12 wins out of the bullpen for Rochester. Luis Rodriguez was optioned to Triple-A to make room on the roster.
