September 30, 2008
J.A. Happ has made the Phillies' postseason roster as a long reliever, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View:Happ held a 1.33 WHIP over 31.2 innings, with 26 strikeouts in the regular season. He made the roster over the speedy Greg Golson.

J.A. Happ didn't earn a victory on Monday, but he still pitched well holding the Braves to two runs over 6.2 innings of work.

Our View:Happ lowered his ERA to 3.90 with the outing after beating the Braves last week for his first major league victory. In two starts against Atlanta, Happ has a 1.42 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP.
September 19, 2008
MLB.com reports that J.A. Happ could be in line for another start on Monday against the Braves. The pitcher for that game has yet to be announced.

Our View:Happ stymied the Braves on Wednesday, tossing six shutout innings in a 6-1 win. Pitching coach Rich Dubee said there were no reservations about using him five days later against the same team.
September 17, 2008
J.A. Happ got the start for the Phillies on Wednesday night in the place Kyle Kendrick, and with his outing might have earned himself another start. Happ went six scoreless innings while only giving up three hits in the Phillies' 6-1 win.

Our View:This was Happ's third start of the year. In his first two starts he was not effective, but with his scoreless outing Wednesday night he could get some starts down the road as the Phillies compete for a playoff spot.
September 16, 2008
J.A. Happ will start Wednesday in place of the ineffective Kyle Kendrick, according to the AP.

Our View:How Happ fares tomorrow will determine whether or not he gets another start. He put up great numbers at Triple-A this year but hasn't been that effective with the Phillies.
