September 1, 2008 Houston has recalled pitchers Jack Cassel and Fernando Nieve from Triple-A Round Rock, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Our View:In previous stints on the big club, Cassel possessed an ERA of 7.11 in 19 innings. He has no fantasy value. Nieve was worse, and has an ERA of 18.00 in his brief time in the majors this season.
July 22, 2008 As expected, Jack Cassel has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock, according to the Houston Chronicle. Dave Borkowski was designated for assignment as the adjoining move.
Our View:Cassel was brought back to start Tuesday's game against Pittsburgh. Cassel is only worth a look in larger NL-only leagues, as he allowed 10 earned runs over 14.1 innings, with only six strikeouts in his previous stint with the team this season.

June 2, 2008 Jack Cassel has been optioned back to Triple-A Round Rock after getting lit up for six hits and six runs (four earned) with one walk and three strikeouts over 2.1 innings of work Sunday against the Brewers, according to the Houston Chronice. Geoff Geary will be activated from the DL on Tuesday, and the team moved Cassel to make room on the roster.
Our View:Cassel held a poor 6.28 ERA and 1.47 WHIP over 14.1 innings, and held no fantasy value prior to his demotion.

Our View:Caseel was 4-1 with a 2.17 ERA in seven starts in Triple-A. But he allowed six runs on 11 hits over 9.2 innings in his previous stint with the Astros this season, and will continue to hold no fantasy value.
