May 6, 2008 Manager John Gibbons stated that righty Brian Wolfe is playing catch and might be able to begin pitching off a mound again in about a week, as he recovers from a strained right triceps, according to MLB.com. Gibbons said it would likely be at least two more weeks before Wolfe would be ready to be activated from the 15-day DL.
Our View:Wolfe will compete for playing time out of the Jays' pen when he is ready to come back. He holds little fantasy value as a long-reliever, especially as he allowed eight hits (and three earned runs) over 7.1 innings this season.
