Newsbreakers
September 28, 2008
Jesse Litsch only issued one earned run on three hits over seven innings in Sunday's 10-1 win over Baltimore, with one walk and five strikeouts.

Our View:Litsch ends the season with a 13-9 record and a 3.58 ERA. He allowed three or less earned runs in eight straight starts.
September 23, 2008
Jesse Litsch threw a good game but still lost, as the Toronto righty went seven innings and gave up just two earned runs while striking out eight. However, his offense gave him no support, and the Blue Jays lost to the Yankees, 3-1.

Our View:Litsch continued his great work since coming up from the minors in August. He has not allowed more than three earned runs in his last eight starts.
September 18, 2008
Right-hander Jesse Litsch (12-8) worked six innings to win for the third time in four starts, allowing two runs and four hits. He walked four and struck out six in the Blue Jays' 3-2 win.

Our View:In the middle of August Litsch was sent down to Triple-A, and since coming back to the majors he has been fantastic. Litsch looks a pitcher that fantasy owners could rely on as the season winds downs.
September 9, 2008
Jesse Litsch held the White Sox to six hits and two runs over seven innings on Tuesday night. He added two walks and six strikeouts. Litsch improved to 11-8 as the Blue Jays swept the doubleheader.

Our View:Litsch has been brilliant since being recalled on August 14. We can't forget about the month-long demotion in the middle of the campaign, but Jesse looks like someone fantasy owners can depend upon.
September 4, 2008
Jesse Litsch hurled his best game of the season on Thursday night against the Twins as he threw a 4-hit, complete game shutout for his 10th win of the year.

Our View:In four starts since being recalled to the majors, Litsch is 2-1 with a 0.94 ERA. Think someone wants to prove to someone else that he shouldn't ever see the minor leagues again? Despite the great stretch, Litsch is a pitcher who succeeds on movement and location, and when he is off, he can be hit hard on occasion.
