The Cubs optioned Billy Petrick to Triple-A Iowa on Friday, according to the AP. He had no record and a 7.45 ERA in eight relief appearances with Chicago after beginning the season at Double-A Tennessee.

The Cubs plan to recall Billy Petrick from Triple-A Iowa on Monday, according to the Chicago Tribune. He posted a 3.18 ERA and 0.71 WHIP with five strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings early this season with the Cubs, who are looking to add some depth to their bullpen.
