Our View:Muniz held little fantasy value as a reliever, with a 5.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 23.1 innings, with only 16 strikeouts.

Our View:Muniz has been ineffective in 11.2 innings in big leagues this year, posting a 6.17 ERA. He is 2-4 at Triple-A, with eight saves and a 3.86 ERA.
July 3, 2008 After just three appearances since being recalled on June 24, Carlos Muniz has once again been demoted to Triple-A according to the New York Daily News.
Our View:The reliever was very ineffective, allowing at least one run in each of his appearances. Still, the Mets like him enough. He will continue to make adjustments at Triple-A and could be back with the ballclub for the stretch run.
