Our View:The 25-year-old was once viewed as an elite prospect, and the team feels he will provide depth to their bench for the first round of the playoffs. He went 2-for-7 (two doubles) with the club in the regular season.

Our View:Nelson was considered an elite prospect in the low minors, but he has not continued to produce like an elite prospect in recent seasons. The 25-year-old could still have a career as a part-time player, and he deserves some attention after starting the year hitting .339-6-9.
