Brandon Boggs will bat leadoff when the Rangers host the Tigers on Tuesday night. It will be his second straight game in the top spot, which is typically occupied by Ian Kinsler.

Our View:Heading into Monday, Kinsler owned 514 of the team's 540 at-bats out of the leadoff spot. Boggs doesn't hit as well as Kinsler, but he does a decent job of drawing walks. The outfielder could be in a good spot to help fantasy teams for at least the next two weeks.

Brandon Boggs went deep for the fourth time on Sunday while he stole his first base of the season on the base paths.

Our View:Boggs continues to get a fair amount of work, but after a strong start to the year his production has really tailed off including a 9-for-39 (.231) stretch in June. With Marlon Byrd heating up, Boggs doesn't appear to have a bead on a ton of at-bats moving forward.
May 27, 2008
Texas outfielder Josh Hamilton may steal the show with is prolific offense surge, but fellow outfielder Brandon Boggs enjoyed a great game at the plate in tonight's 12-6 drumming of the Tampa Bay Rays as well. Boggs went 3-for-5 with is fifth double of the season to total three RBIs.

Our View:Boggs was touting just ten total RBIs coming into this game, hitting just .221 through the month of May. This may be a sign of better things to come.
May 18, 2008
Brandon Boggs went 0-for-4 on Sunday to drop his average to .246, this after it was at .385 after his first 39 AB.

Our View:Boggs has only two hits in his last 30 AB and one would have to think he is in danger of losing playing time or possibly being sent back to the minors if he doesn't snap out of this funk, and pronto.
May 11, 2008
Rookie outfielder Brandon Boggs is expected to start his 12th straight game in left field on Monday against Seattle. Boggs is 7-for-17 over his last five games, including falling a triple shy of the cycle on Friday.

Our View:On Sunday, Boggs drew a walk and scored in the third inning. His defense has saved runs for the Rangers too.
